How Much Does a Kitchen Remodel Cost in Cary and Raleigh?

The cost of a kitchen remodel in Cary or Raleigh depends on what the renovation changes. A new cabinet package within a retained layout is a different scope from opening walls, moving appliances and rebuilding the surrounding finishes.

Nix Industries recommends full cabinet replacement rather than refacing or refinishing. We begin with the storage, layout and finished result you want, then define the work needed to get there.

The main budget decisions

Cabinet sizes, construction, drawer arrangements, finishes, panels and installation all affect the cabinet package. Countertop material, edges, cutouts and waterfall ends need their own specifications.

Appliances also influence cabinet openings, ventilation and utility work. Confirm the actual models early enough to coordinate them with the design.

Moving a sink or removing a wall can affect several trades, along with flooring, ceilings and adjacent rooms. Ask where that related work starts and ends.

Five kitchen-remodel budget groups covering planning, cabinetry and surfaces, systems and installation, appliances and lighting, and reserve and outside costs.

Include the work around the products

Protection, demolition, disposal, inspections, service work, patching and cleanup belong in the scope. Existing conditions uncovered during demolition can also require a response.

Review allowances and exclusions together. An allowance is a placeholder; ask what it includes, which selection remains open and how the final cost is reconciled. Confirm responsibility for owner-purchased items and keep a reserve for uncertainty.

Allow for temporary housing

For a Nix kitchen remodel, plan to live elsewhere during construction, or at least during the initial construction phases. We can help facilitate finding and renting a home if needed. Include housing, moving and storage costs in your overall budget.

Our starting timeline is 4–6 weeks of pre-construction planning followed by 10–16 weeks of construction, depending on complexity. Every project can take less or more time.

Bring current photos, the changes you want and an investment range to a kitchen-remodel discussion. A clear scope makes pricing more useful than a national average. Nix Industries works with homeowners across North Carolina.
